Chennai Port signs agreement with Port of Halifax

Chennai Port signs agreement with Port of Halifax to promote maritime trade and port development. The agreement will also foster sharing of technical expertise, cruise knowledge and tourism between two ports. Halifax Port is also exploring the use of Halifax port for OEM auto exporters as port of entry into the north American markets. It may be noted, that Chennai port has also has similar agreement with Belgium port- Zeebrugge
