Kulpi Port – pro active government measures needed

Kulpi Port – had been mooted 15 years back on the bank of Hooghly river in West Bengal. However, the project has not taken off from the drawing board stage due to poor response from state and central governments. Land acquisition and infrastructure development which are pre-requisites should have been taken proactively by the state but it is sleepy. Now, an experienced DP World has majority stake in the promoting company, things may change.
