An Inter-Ministerial Group (IMG) under the secretary of shipping  as chairman was formed in  2006 to make recommendation  to reduce the dwell time at major ports in India – owned by government of India including corporatized port-Ennore. A team of officials visited Singapore and Rotterdam to understand and bring the best practices to Indian ports. For more details click here
