Dhamra Port which is scheduled to be commissioned later this year, has signed a cargo pact with Tata Steel. Currently, Tata Steel uses Haldia (0.7 mt) and Paradip (1 mt) ports for metcoke imports. The venture promoted by Tata Steel and L&T is looking at prospective users for inking similar deals. The port will have 25 mtpa capacity and have two berths each for coking coal imports and iron ore exports.
